Govind walks out through the front yard and heads towards the beach for fishing. His friends meet him there, and together they walk along the shore to the harbour.
Early in the morning, Sarda wakes up, freshens up, and steps into the kitchen. As she cooks lunch, the kitchen slowly fills with morning light through the open doorway.
Savita leaves for work at the prawn factory, moving through the front yard and along the village’s narrow lanes leading to the factory, while Shree remains asleep inside the house.
