Our second module was the one of the most interesting and exciting modules to have been a part of. We were introduced to orthography, which is a way of drawing in two dimensions and represents different views of three dimensional objects. Since this was a completely new form of drawing for us, we were a little apprehensive as to what this module lay in store for us. However, we could have never expected how thoroughly informative and educational this module would be.
On our very first lesson, we laid the groundwork for the upcoming module. We learnt about various instruments and how to correctly use them. Our mentors were guiding us throughout this process which was a great help. Although the process was tedious, in the end result was well worth the work. Having made a few sheets of the numerous daily objects around us, we started to slowly but surely understand how to read plans and sections. Our understanding of orthography grew by the day.
In the next phase of our module,we were grouped together to study a diverse range of structures and do an in depth analysis of them. After going through them, we drew up the plans for the structures. These drawings were a part of our portfolio. Further, we started working on the most challenging aspect of this module, that is, we had to make a scale model of the house we were assigned. We worked tirelessly on this project. During this process, we had to learn how to handle different materials such as mount boards, sun boards etc. We used our hand drawn plans to figure out the measurements and used it to put together our models.

This was a particularly rewarding experience to see our models come to life. Overall, the entirety of our second module was an enriching experience and we enjoyed every part of it.
