The studio undertook a study of the villages of Dahisar T Manor and Bot in Palghar tehsil of Thane district to understand the existing type of the houses in relation to behaviour and experience, their incremental growth and forces shaping it.  The house type in the region consisted of a verandah (ota), a central room (madhli kholi), a series of rooms surrounding it, with the kitchen at the back. Studies were undertaken to study light in the house and the spatial use vis a vis different genders and age groups. The studio went on to speculate what changes would be required to the existing type to improve habitation with the shift in socio economic conditions and shifting demographics in the village.
