Trial - -- - - Exploring the settlement as a complex socio-spatial ecosystem, the village of Baiyora, near Dungarpur, Rajasthan, sits at the intersection of topography, infrastructure, and community life. Through detailed mapping and documentation, the study reveals how the village’s built form, characterised by stepping, layered house types, negotiates the challenging mountain slopes and responds to environmental pressures like monsoons and landslides. The study examines the daily rhythms of diverse caste groups, highlighting their dependence on traditional farming and cattle rearing alongside the aspirations of a transitioning younger generation. By mapping essential services, government-aided housing, and shared community spaces, the work presents the environment as an invisible infrastructure that dictates human livelihood. Ultimately, the website serves as a repository of material practices and spatial negotiations, framing the village not merely as a remote settlement but as a resilient landscape of collective adaptation.
